News & Updates

Welcome to my blog, a space for honest reflections, writing updates and moments from my journey. My aim is to create a space that feels genuine and welcoming, where people can connect with something real.

Almost ready to meet the world

Writing a novel is never simple. Writing one while living with young‑onset Alzheimer’s has been a journey I never expected to take, but one I’m proud I stayed on.

There were days when I couldn’t remember what I’d written the day before. Days when concentration came in short bursts. Days when tiredness forced me to stop early. Days when the tremor in my right hand made typing feel like a battle.

But I kept going.

Sentence by sentence. Page by page. Moment by moment.

Now, my debut literary mystery, Forget Me Not: The Letter in the Headboard, is almost ready to meet the world.

I didn’t write this book despite the challenges. I wrote it through them.

Every pause, every restart, every moment of doubt shaped the rhythm of the story. Every struggle reminded me why stories matter, especially the ones rooted in memory, identity, and the small clues that change everything.

I’m sharing a small teaser from the cover today, just a little glimpse, because the full reveal is coming soon.

I can’t wait for you to see it.

If this book proves anything, it’s that creativity doesn’t disappear when life changes. It adapts. It finds new routes. It becomes more honest.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey.

The book is coming soon.

Honest, Human, and Quietly Reflective

I’d describe the style I want in my blog posts as honest, human, and quietly reflective. I don’t want to sound polished or distant — I want people to feel like they’re sitting with someone who’s speaking openly, sharing real experiences, and inviting them into a conversation rather than delivering a lecture. My personality is shaped by compassion, humour, resilience, and a deep belief in dignity, and I want that to come through in every post.

I write in a way that slows people down a little, helping them notice the small details and emotions that often get overlooked. I want my posts to feel warm and reassuring, even when the topics are difficult. And I want readers to sense that I’m not pretending to have all the answers — I’m simply sharing what I’ve learned, what I’ve lived, and what I continue to discover.

Above all, I want my blog to feel like a place where people can connect with something real: a voice that’s gentle but strong, reflective but hopeful, and always rooted in humanity.

A genuine and welcoming space

When someone visits my blog or news page, I hope they get a real sense of who I am and why I write. I want them to feel the honesty and lived experience behind my work, whether I’m sharing updates about my books, reflections on dementia, or moments from my own journey with young‑onset Alzheimer’s. My aim is to create a space that feels genuine and welcoming, where people can slow down, breathe, and connect with something real.

I hope they learn that my writing is shaped by compassion, resilience, and a deep belief in dignity and connection. I want them to feel understood, inspired, and reassured — to know that creativity can thrive even in challenging circumstances, and that none of us are walking our paths alone. If they leave my blog feeling closer to the heart of my work, and perhaps a little less isolated in their own experiences, then I’ve achieved what I set out to do.
